Paper Clay Sculptures - so far...

These are the pieces I am currently working on, combining paper clay and wire as well as black rice paper. The initial idea was to create heads out of fragements of paper clay - I still see these structures as heads despite the fact that they have taken on a more abstract form. There are elements of faces in the wire drawings that elude to my love of the tension between the abstract and the figurative.
